Prescott is a place where academics are rigorous, teachers are extraordinarily talented, and where students' creative minds and caring hearts are nurtured and contribute significantly to their communities.

Even in the face of significant funding shortfalls from Chicago Public Schools, Prescott is regularly recognized with distinctions, including: 2019 U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School, 2021 GreatSchools.org Thrive Award, Excelling rating on Creative Schools for arts integration instruction, and #13 (out of over 400) on Chicago Magazine's list of best elementary schools. 

It is your donations to Prescott Parents that help Prescott fill gaps in funding from CPS and reach these heights. 

Indeed, last year our community raised approximately $90,000 to support our school. With your generous support, we have been able to purchase classroom supplies, outdoor picnic tables, a Gaga ball court, classroom technology subscriptions, recess supplies, gardens and grounds supplies, and fund student clubs and activities. We were also able to support teacher and staff professional development as well as fill the gaps in school operations funding.

The funding gap from CPS is wider this year, meaning the District's dollars will only cover a portion of Prescott's budget.  

During this Annual Prescott Week of Giving, our goal is to raise $15,000 by October 28.
